Cardiology (ESMR Treatment)

SMR, an acronym for Extracorporeal Shockwave Myocardial Revascularization, is alternatively known as Non-Invasive Cardiac Angiogenesis Therapy (Ni-CATh). This innovative method employs Extracorporeal Shockwave technology to enhance blood supply to the heart muscles, constituting a novel approach to Myocardial Revascularization. ESMR serves as a non-invasive treatment option for ischemic myocardial regions that are challenging to reach through conventional revascularization methods such as Bypass surgery, Balloon Angioplasty, and stenting. This therapy aims to address symptoms arising from myocardial ischemia, offering an alternative for cases where traditional interventions may not be feasible or effective.

Types of Diseases treated

Patients who want to avoid invasive procedures
Whose treatment location is not accessible through conventional procedures
Who are unfit for bypass surgery
Who suffer chronic chest pain or re-blocks even after conventional treatment methodologies
Who have severe blockages detected in the angiogram

Symptoms

    - Chronic chest pain ( Refractory Angina) even after Bypass surgery or Angioplasty
    - Having 70 % -100 % blockages in angiogram
    - Chronic Renal disease with heart attack problem
